Manage Wisely and Work On Your Business - Not In It!

Author: Scharlene Redway

You may be one of the many new or existing business owners who are running your business as a solopreneur. Are you finding it difficult to keep up with your many daily tasks and business demands? This is a problem that befalls most business owners whether you are a solopreneur or a small business owner operating with a few employees.

When starting out as an entrepreneur on your own, some of us lack the necessary budget required to fund certain development projects and daily tasks that need to be completed or implemented, and are difficult to manage by one person such as:

  • Account management
  • 24/7 customer service provisions,
  • Ongoing business marketing
  • Website updates
  • New product or service implementation
  • Business Networking
  • Graphic designing
  • PR Management
  • A live voice available for client/customer inquiries
  • Sorting daily incoming mail inquiries
  • Product packaging
  • Event planning

And any and all other tasks that you can think of that hinders you from running your business and keeps you working IN your business.

You may be interested in outsourcing a few of your daily tasks but dont have the money or the patience to deal with hiring employees, I dont blame you as this could become quite costly not to mention the benefits you are required to provide and the employment laws that you are required to abide by.

So then how could a volunteer business professional assist you with your business? Well first of all a volunteer is someone who is eager to assist and is willing to dedicate the time required to complete a specific task. They come with their own specified skills and educational backgrounds that could prove to be of great asset to your business especially if you are lacking business wise in a specific area.

A business professional has already made up their mind that they not only want to give back to the business community but they are also looking for ways to showcase their own skills and build their portfolios by completing projects and daily tasks for you the business owner and as volunteer independent contractor they are a lot easier to manage then your typical employee.

Outsourcing I agree is the way to go when daily business management tasks are bogging you down but try a professional virtual volunteer before you look to hire someone and not get what you paid for.
